let me preface this by saying i am happy today.
the house my mother grew up in where my grandparents lived until they died collapsed into a mine shaft this week. they lived in a little brick house in a working class neighborhood--lots of houses close together. now there is no basement and it is by all accounts in a dangle over the pit. the people who have lived there since my family sold it five years ago are upset because they didn't have house sucked into a mine shaft insurance. i don't know what anyone would be mining.
i am not happy because of this incident, by the way. i am unreasonably happy. i think it might be the weather but i hate to have a cause for this effect.
