Oral Presentation

In trying to up my manganese intake I've increased it so much that I have danger liver. And hypochondria. But if you talk about kites I'll forget all my symptoms/side effects and side effects/symptoms. I'm not on any drugs just supplements but they have side effects, too--mostly psychological. Like I feel my throat closing up but it's not closing up. It's not even doing anything--I just realize I have a throat is all.

Some manganese compounds have been added to gasoline to boost octane rating and reduce engine knocking. The female magnes ore did not attract iron, but was used to decolorize glass. In 1816, it was noted that adding manganese to iron made it harder, without making it any more brittle. The best known manganese-containing polypeptides may be arginase, the diphtheria toxin, and Mn-containing superoxide dismutase (Mn-SOD), which is the enzyme typically present in eukaryotic mitochondria, and also in many bacteria (this fact is in keeping with the bacterial-origin theory of mitochondria). Manganese is mined in Burkina Faso and Gabon. Also, cast quantities of manganese exist in manganese nodules on the ocean floor.
