please help me design my book cover. ryan said maureen especially would be good at this and i agree seeing as how her tinysides are all beautiful AND she likes to talk about designing books. i took this picture yesterday i kind of like, but i don't even really need an image i guess. the image is supposed to have the musical notes at the bottom but i didn't rotate it. the title of the book is clearing without reversal.

ooh i just had an idea. maybe i could type the words clearing without reversal on a piece of yellowed paper and tape it to the wall and take a picture of it and that could be the cover?

You should probably figure out what DPI the printer will want, so that you can make sure the picture you take has sufficient detail and depth... Let me know if you want help or anything. If you have to do blurbages and other stuff on the back of the book, you'll need to at least choose a typeface...

gracias--i know about high res and all that because i worked with designers in publishing at my old job. i definitely have trouble with the ideas though. i wonder if the blurbs could be typed and taped to the wall too? eek.

Probably better to photoshop them in later in a typewriter font. It's easier to lay them out there than on a wall!

I also like the picture you posted, and I like it sideways (I will have to turn my head all crazy to see what it looks like right-ways-up).
